Western Maryland Railway Caboose 1826

WMRY Caboose 1826 is on display in Westernport. MD across the street from the restored depot. On May 1, 2004 I had the pleasure of photographing this caboose with friends. This caboose used to be painted in an unprototypical scheme, so it was quite a refreshing surprise to see it all dolled-up in herald!

There are desktop backgrounds (wallpapers) based upon this caboose in my railroad wallpaper section.

Alongside caboose 1826 in Westernport are a couple other pieces of interesting equipment.

A coal car, likely from a local mine

A flat car that was likely towed behind a speeder. The markings from the side, if original, make this a piece of real WM equipment.
