Proto 2000 Caboose

I purchased this caboose undecorated in 2002.  It was the only undecorated center cupola caboose the store had.  They did have, however, two or so more cabooses in WM Speed Lettering.  I passed on those because I model the pre-speed lettering era.  Given how rare these cabooses are now, I wish I had picked up the other two I saw.

I'm not too keen on the power pickups on the wheels - they put a lot of drag on the caboose, so I may rework those when I covert this caboose to Proto:87

I have one of these cabooses.

In August 2003 I managed to pick up a fully painted caboose at a store down in Richmond, VA.  Here is a photo of that one :

On November 29, 2003, I also picked up a newer run undecorated caboose at a train show in Boonsboro, MD.

In December 2003 I picked up two WMRHS custom run cabooses from a friend on the Western Maryland Railway mailing list.
