Western Maryland FA2 Locomotives

The Western Maryland owned four FA2 locomotives.  The FA2's were initially used in A-A pairs.  In the late 1950's, the FA2's were modifed to allow for nose MU and for MU'ing with other locomotives.  After that point, they could be found throughout the system.  No FB2 locomotives were ever used.

I picked up one undecorated powered and one undecorated unpowered unit on eBay in November 2003.  In addition, my friend Ron Hildebrand sent me a FA2 undecorated shell he no longer needed.  Thanks Ron!

I plan to replace several of the details (especially the louvers), and otherwise bring these units in sync with the FA2 units used on the WM.

One of the four WM FA2s is still in WM speed lettering and in use in West Virginia on the West Virginia Central Tygart Flyer.
