WM #62 F7A from Highliners Kit - Sand Filler Hatches

Install Side Sand Filler Hatches

Thanks to Ron Hildebrand and Warren for clarifying that these are the sand filler hatches :-)

Dry fit these in place.  If they do not seat cleanly inside the raised outline, you typically must do one of two things.  Eithe 1) ream the hole out larger towards the top or 2) slightly file the bottom of the piece.  I had to do both to the ones that fit in the side panels from the previous step.

There are four of these details on the model  Add one at a time, holding it in place with your finger while you glue it in from the inside with the Testor's glue.  Re-align any improperly-seated details slightly with your finger before the glue sets.
