Towhees

Eastern Towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)

March 2004 Towhee Photos.

In March 2004, Melissa took these two photos with her new Panasonic 4MP 12x zoom camera. The Towhee is a female Eastern Towhee. Unlike the male, she is very brown in color as opposed to black.

February / March 2003 Photos

The Towhee visits us for the winter only.  Next year I hope to get some better photos of this interesting robin-sized bird.
