Ruby-Crowned Kinglet (Regulus calendula)

This little birdie paid us a visit in April 2003.  I suppose it was just flying through on its way back up north.  It really had a very beautiful song, and was extremely tame.  General concensus seems to be that this is a Ruby-Crowned Kinglet.  It is roughly chickadee sized, and has large black eyes.  I did not notice it if had a red patch on its head, or if it had white eye-rings.  Photos taken by Pete on April 21, 2003
