Bluebirds
Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis)
Melissa took these photos on another outing with her friends from the nursery.
This time she was working on some landscaping at a house on the Eastern Shore.
The pair of bluebirds had nested in a hollow in an old tree. She also saw a
Killdeer nest that day on the property.
Here's the male doing his best "angry bluebird" impression.

pictures ;-)

Melissa took this photo on April 7, 2004 at the native plant nursery where she
volunteers. He was way up on the treetop making himself look good for the
ladies :-)
