Bluebirds

Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis)

Melissa took these photos on another outing with her friends from the nursery. This time she was working on some landscaping at a house on the Eastern Shore. The pair of bluebirds had nested in a hollow in an old tree. She also saw a Killdeer nest that day on the property.

Melissa took this photo on April 7, 2004 at the native plant nursery where she volunteers. He was way up on the treetop making himself look good for the ladies :-)
